Purple BPM for first thing in the morning - especially after a hard nights drinking

tooth rottingly, stomach twistingly good :)

Orangina, but only the continental stuff. The orangina here tastes like [was gonna say p!ss but don't like what that implies, so I'll say] sh!te :D

    Vanilla Coke or Dr.Pepper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,265 ✭✭✭aidan_dunne

If you'd asked me this question a couple of years ago, I probably would have said Coke. I used to be a big Coke drinker but nowadays I drink a lot of orange juice instead. As for fizzy-type drinks now, I'd have to say original Lucozade. I would usually buy that now instead of Coke. Or Club Lemon. Great for quenching the thirst on a hot day.

As for 7up or Sprite or any of those Lemon & Lime drinks, I can't stand them. They just turn my stomach..... literally. Always makes my stomach queasy or I end up getting sick after drinking them.

And as for flat/warm 7up (as suggested by catho_monster)..... oh God no! No, no, no, no, no!

    Coca Cola.
A long way behind in 2nd place - Lucozade Sport (Original/Lemon/Mixed Berry they're all nice)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 348 ✭✭Fuhrio

Coca Light, NOT diet coke (its a different thing) and not coca cola. Light is 10 times nicer for some reason but its realy hard to find in irish newsagents.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,146 ✭✭✭Explosive_Cornflake

Coco Cola, from a can, and the proper cans. there's a lot of those imported ones lying around. And lucozade sport still. Coco Cola wins though, cuz its a good bit cheaper.

Lucozade cures everything! Except maybe tooth related things. Recently got into Vanilla Coke though... makes a nice mixer for whiskey too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,267 ✭✭✭Exit

    1. Lucozade (all flavours, but Lemon is probably the nicest)
    2. Coca Cola
    3. Canada Dry

You can get it in Heuston Station. Perhaps Coca Light uses the new "Splena" sweetener instead of Nutrisweet. It's supposed to be a lot safer than Nutrisweet, although it's still dangerous enough, causing thyroid damage and some other miscellaneous effects.

    Cherry Coke

    or Cherry 7UP

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,353 ✭✭✭radiospan

    Coca Cola
(Club Rock Shandy is nice, too)

Can you get Club Shandy anymore? :D We used to think we were cool when we were eight cos it had a really small bit of alcohol in it. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,107 ✭✭✭✭Stark

I only saw Club Shandy in a shop once last year. Club Shandy used to be delicious.

Tanora by a country mile, especially since it's unique to Cork as far I know :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,265 ✭✭✭aidan_dunne

Not anymore, it isn't. They sell Tanora in Tesco here in Portlaoise.

As for Vanilla Coke..... Christ! How can anyone drink that p!ss? It's rotten!

I've never had Dr. Pepper. To be honest, I've never even seen it around. I would love to try it, though, and see what all the fuss is about. What's it taste like?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,107 ✭✭✭✭Stark

Tastes like bubble gum. Not very nice.

Cherry 7up. Too bad they don't sell it here. I don't know anywhere which sells cherry flavouring to add to regular 7up either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,560 ✭✭✭Woden

i used to prefare pepsi but i've gone back to coke, i have a preference for coke out of a tap though as opposed to bottles or cans.

i'm also quite partial to the 500ml bottles of ribena and i like lucosade, club lemon and orange also

    data

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 248 ✭✭catsup

hmmm, definately not coke...whatever about the rest of the flavoured drinks, where the hell did the cola flavour come from?? its gotta be club lemon on a hot day, or perhaps crab juice with some spicy khal-kalash.

I second that!! Especially straight from the fridge after a workout!!Word of warning... do NOT buy the stuff in plastic bottles it tastes like piss and absorbs the toxins in the plastic just like milk in plastic containers. Only use the stuff in glass bottles.
Kefir is also nice but i prefer Kombucha

Oh Club has a new flat fruit drink range out now.. cant think of the name off hand right now.

1; Freshly natural fruit juice, as nature intended.

2; Natural milk shakes with ice.

Guarana - the best soft drink in the world...comes from Brazil and is made from the Guava fruit from the Amazon.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,339 ✭✭✭✭tman

smeh, they're all fairly crap tbh.
i've started on a health kick recently, 3 litres of water a day and no soft drinks.
i have a can of coke/sprite every now and again if i'm running low on energy and there's no coffee close at hand.
i could happily live without them, the first sip is always mildly refreshing, then you find yourself drinking the rest just for the sake of having something to drink.

erm... do fat frogs count? they taste like a soft drink:D (another reason behind my massive intake of water this week)
