Football Championship pools

04-05-2004 4:44pm#1This is the thread where people make their predictions for the Football Provincial Championships.
There are no prizes (but offers welcome), so bragging rights are all that is to be got from this.
When the draw is made for the 1/4 finals these will also be here and predictions for these can then be made.
Now to the Rules:
- One point for each correct winner (County name, not match number)
- 2 bonus points for each correct provincial winner
- 2 bonus points for each team selected to reach the qualifiers through the qualifier rounds. Each person chooses 4 teams. People cannot hedge their bets and vote a team to win the province and come through the qualifiers. If this does happen no bonus points will be available to that person. These will only be accepted before May 16th.
- The competition will begin on May 9th
- Choices must be made all in one go
- People may enter the competition late but obviously will have forfeited points for games already decided
- New entries will only be valid if entered the day before matches start (ie. No entries on May 9th will be counted for that day no matter how early they are done)
- If a post is edited, the date of the edit will be used and any points gained previously will not count
Edit:
- The second part of the competition will have 2 points for each correct guess. It will also have 2 bonus points for correctly picking the winner and 1 bonus point for predicting that the beaten finalist would reach the final. This will give people a chance to catch up.
- The management reserve the right to change their minds
Please keep any discussion of this competition to a seperate thread as it will make it easier to keep track of this and respond to any queries/problems. I'll try and post the standings weekly if possible.

Seeing as westmeath did actually win the replay, noone gets any points.

Predict the rest of the championship using a similar format to what we used before. Use the template a few posts above this.
Points are as follows:
- 2 points for each correct guess
- 1 bonus point for correctly guessing each all-ireland finalist
- and 1 bonus point for correctly guessing the winning team.
I'll keep the scores of this seperate but continue to show the results from Round 1 of the guesses and also a total.
So this time there are 14 normal points up for grabs and 3 bonus points.
