    Hi there,
just wondering if anybody does any part time volunteering,
have a good bit of free time at the moment and would like to get involved in something.
Have already applied to the Simon community but they seem to have alot of volunteers already.
    Any experiences good or bad?

Here's the perfect website for you. Browse through all the different orgs looking for ppl. http://www.volunteeringireland.com/

I found the National Braille Production Centre there worked with them for a year very interesting work. They need ppl to do OCR scanning of schools books for visually impaired children. They provide training and scanners (if you don't have your own) but you must have your own pc.

Check the site out you'll find something there for you.
