    Hey guys,
I couldnt really find any more suitable forums for this but here goes...

Just tonight I was eating a pizza and realized a little lump kinda in the back of my throat around under my tongue. Yes, i smoke and that is a new habit of mine. I just cant get it off my mind, I need reassurance.... dare i ask if it could be some kinda cancer?
If anyone has anything they think I should know, please tell!?

Then again it could just be me being paranoid, because i DID think originally that a piece of the pizza got stuck in the back of my throat or sumting, but i dunno... it aint goin away :(

    (better safe than sorry)

ok after playing around with my tongue for the past few hours, i eventually discovered that its actually on my tongue itself. (silly me) Its just rubbing off my throat is all.

Nonetheless, its still a lump or something to that effect... :(

If it's that sudden, then it's not cancer.*
Give it a week, still there, see a doctor.

It is difficult for any of us here to give you definitive advice.

Why don't you go to a chemist and ask their advice. It may be a simple throat infection or somesuch and they might have an OTC remedy. If it anything more serious they would also be able to say 'get thee to the doctor' (advice you should follow).

Good luck, and let us know how you get on!
