the hardest thing is stepping out the door, once you get back into the habit you will be fine. Try to get a friend to go with you, you'll encourage each other not to miss a session.

I agree with silverside, getting off the armchair is hard. What I'd do is buy a magazine or download a specific programme which has specific aims rather than going when you feel like it

Personally, I think you just have to make it a priority.

Figure out the days and times that most suit you to train, and always train a those times.

Basically, schedule the rest of your life around your training, instead of trying to schedule your training into the rest of your life.

If you work a 9 - 5, you don't agree to meet someone at 3pm for a few drinks. You're at work. If you train from 7 - 9 on a monday night, then the same rules apply. You are busy.

But as the others have said, building the habit is the important thing.

For me it's monday night, wednesday night and friday night. Friday night can be tricky because a lot of good stuff happens on friday night :) , so I move training to saturday morning or afternoon if I have a conflict.

    Good luck.

Your better off running before using weights because it gets the muscles pumped up.
