Feeling insecure...

Isn't it just horrible when you feel insecure about something?

For example, my girlfriend started acting really weird last night (for unknown reasons, to me anyway) and now she is ignoring my texts. So of course my brain is now getting all paranoid and I'm feeling... insecure.

It's not a nice feeling, not one I feel often, and not really beneficial to me whatsoever.

    You know what I mean?

If you don't know what you did wrong .. how can we help you! ;)

    I'm joking.

Where you taking anything last night? ..

call round to her ask her wats up. This is a bit of a personal issue isn't it?

I am Miss Insecurity so I feel your pain!

Still though....I don't blame you for feeling that way because of the way she's acting.

I didn't do anything as far as I know... I'm generally a pretty caring boyfriend.

She seemed to just kind of switch off... become distant...

According to a friend of mine it was after she took a phone call which she was talking kind of suspisciously on...

    Although she was quite tired...

I don't want to ring her as I wanna play it cool... not seem insecure... you know what I mean?

    ...

AARRRGH I prefer when I'm being the bastard :D

Exactly!!! I'm always picking up wrong signals from text messages. Not with friends, but with guys. It's just easier to ring them.

Johnny I'd say give her a ring some time this evening if you haven't heard from her.

When I feel insecure I just put it out of my head by thinking of sex

Naw, I hope you feel better soon, and find out whats up with your moth. It is pretty aweful feeling when someone you care for suddenly pretends like you don't exist. I know it's hard to believe, because im so unbelievably cool and what not, but my g/f did this to me. Although she was just looking for more attention ;)
May be the same with yours... Either that or PMS A.K.A Mad Cow Desease.

Yeah, give her a call this evening and ask her what the story is, why she is acting this way. Don't do it while you are drunk/stoned/pissed off. Have a clear head!

I try to txt as little as possible to everyone, it's better to ring them and talk to them. Less confusion.

    Woman, eh? :dunno:

Freaky that I should look at this topic now. Had a big argument with my extremely insecure girlfriend last night.
Coincidence is her name is Clare too, but Clare bear is a nickname I have(had...) for her. Hope your not from Macroom in Cork too!

This is kind of stupid by me...

My gf had just gotten a new mobile, and I was texting her. Being lazy I was actually keying in her number, every time ( trying to memorise it), while texting her.

We had had a fight that day and I accidentaly sent a couple of texts to a wrong number by switching one of the digits. After going nuts for a couple of hours wondering why she hadn't texted me back, I realised my previous text was to a wrong number.

    So I called her up..

turned out she had been feeling a bit antsy herself wondering I never replied to her last message :D

it was so stupid we forgot all about our fight :P

Yeah, sorry, just got back online now.

Turns out my instincts were right - she thought I was sleeping with a friend of mine (a misunderstanding) - my friend had stayed with me because of a rat in her apartment. I thought my girlfriend had heard me inviting the friend to stay over, but she didn't, and later found out...

It's cleared up now... kind of :)

And no, I didn't shag my friend!

There actually is a rat in her apartment... and no we didn't do anything. She's my friend.

    God you're a cynical bunch :D

    Rats? That a good un'
Plus you can use that excuse again and again for different creatures

    "Ants, this time darling"

"She only staying because there's a moose in her bathroom.
    Nuisance mooses"

But have you ever had sexual realtions with your friend? Does your gf know or suspect that you have had? If so, then she would have good reason to be concerned, even if you are blameless.

No sexual relations with this friend I'm afraid :)

The girlfriend has no reason to be suspiscious... I'm a good boy :D

But does she know this or has she reason to think otherwise? She may have heard stories of past gf's, for example. A woman may knowingly go out with a guy who has played the field, and even logically know that he's turned a new leaf, but the doubt and paranoia will remain there for a long time to come.

Uphill struggle for you to convince her, I'm afraid.

She thought you were shagging around and all she did was ignore you "texts" !!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,166 ✭✭✭Johnny Versace

    Yeah I know :D

Actually, she didn't think I was shagging her, but she knows this friend wants to shag me. She trusts me, but still worries.

It was just a misunderstanding though. There is no way I would cheat on my girlfriend.

Fair play to you Johnny, if I could find a nice asian gal, I would never cheat on her ever!
