Mens 10K challenge

    I see that they are promoting this again this year. For those of you tempted to do it - don't bother, take the e20 that they want you to pay for the race(which is at least double other races, and they don't give you a t-shirt in the goodie bag) and do two other better organised races over the summer - check out www.irishrunner.ie for a list of other races.

    Was it €20 last year? I did it, thought it was €10? They did have a free prize draw at the end where they drew out race numbers and gave out some very good prizes, typical value €50-100.

    I actually thought it was a well run race, comparable to other Phoenix park runs (the ones usually run by BHAA). €20 is a bit steep, but still substantially less than the BUPA entry fee (€27, iirc, up from €25 last year).

    You're right, the womens 10K is the mini-marathon.
