q3 and fps

lo all i've got q3 running on a dell latitude its a piii 650 256mb ram rage mobility-m1 agp 2x with 8mb the thing is i get pretty crappy performance in terms of fps, something like 17-20fps does any one know of any site's/guide/tips to improve this? thanx MiCr0

hmmmmmmmmmmmm,

I'm guessing da probs with ur gfx card, 8mb like I've got a dell too like, p3 500 128 meg ram, now i should get good fps but only get about 40-60 cos of my gfx card and thats 16 meg.

that is your problem, now with this being a laptop you are kinda stuck with is, the ati rage chipsets suck, the best thing you can do is turn everything off, ask one of the lads for their leet fps configs
