Nice Frame - not so sure about the bike though.

I may be way off here but why would you take an old skool frame, put old skool gearing on it and then have modern bottle cages and shifters. Put the shifters on the down tube if you’re going down the route..

The shifters are the least of that yokes problems. That is the cycling equivalent of having too much make up on.

I love all the gold and bling, but the bartape and the triple ruin it for me. They should have also gold-chromes (or however they do it) the seatpost. The hoods are jarring too, cream or gold hoods with white levers would have been nice. If you're going to that much bother.

Love the chain, the bling and wheels.

ETA The bottle cages as well, eugh.

So much potential, such a disaster.

Not all steel bikes are beautiful, think the gold would suit GVA with his goldmember helmet/glasses combo

$2,000 a kilo. at that price, i'd want it to weigh 50KG. get my money's worth.

I saw pics of that bike when reading a review this morning and immediately thought of this thread.

So... Back to 2012 levels basically :).

Find a used Cervelo R5 in your size and spend the 10 grand saving on facial reconstructive surgery to wipe the smile from your face.

My latest super-trainer and first aero bike. Can't believe it came with a pair of my favourite wheels of all time, which I've never been able to justify to myself before. Need a shorter stem and I'll toy with the idea of introducing some colour via bottle cages/bar tape/saddle but tbh I'll probably just ride the bejaysus out of it. It's an interesting change after 3+ years and 30+ thousand km of very enjoyable Giants TCR (advanced pro). Just need the gale force side winds to die down now so I can take her up my state-sanctioned 5km hill radius spin. :)

Continuing in part the Black and Tan theme, was fortunate enough to acquire this steed over the summer. Absolutely love it, 6000km in 4 months a testament to that. Rides like a steam train.

Likewise - from a recent thread on Bike Colour:
Remember really admiring a lightish blue bike on the Sean Kelly a few years ago. It just seemed the right colour.

Unfinished Mrs' bike, but I thought it looked pretty cool and clean and worth a post.
Hard to believe it's a 2012 reg with a hape of miles on the clock. Retired to the attic a couple of years ago, built up for my daughter who never used it, dismantled again and put away, and now heading for new R8000 surgery, ready for posh super-trainer duties.

My own yoke. Was out on it yesterday. I know the mechs are an acquired taste but nicest bike have owned to date.

I've really tried but I just can't come to love a SystemSix.

Was a big fan of the SuperSix and do like the 'Dales.
