Thanks Mukki, I've been an occasional lurker for quite a while, but this place is so hopping, that its rare i have anything to say that hasn't already been said.
I'm afraid I've just gone to the trouble of finding it, so i'll post it here for future reference. These are real gems, and yer man spent a lot of time devising them, so I won't go posting any answers (if i get them), rather leave them for future generations to stew over.
In fact, I'm not even sure if they all have exact answers.

The following is an excerpt from message 4515 in the yahoo group 'gevincountdown'. Its quite an active group, worth a look if you're into your countdown.
I think maybe its not the post i had in mind, but its the same idea.
