City centre gym with NO joining fee?

    Hey guys,

I want to start doing weights again, but I'm unwilling to pay a silly joining fee just to join a gym.

Are there any gyms in the city centre with NO joining fee?

    Cheers,
    Steve

I assume you mean Dublin? I used go to Unique Physique when I lifted iron (think it has moved now????), for cardio there are a few that have pay as you go like the one in crumlin, then again go for a jog down the long mile road for free:)

The Markievicz centre (behind Tara St dart station) is an excellent public facility. Last time I was there they had recently refurbished / rebuilt the pool area and wer moving on to expanding the gym. You can 'pay as you go' or join up. I don't think there is a joining fee, but if there is it would not be substantial. AFAICR you can also join for periods as short as 3 months, and you can join the gym separate to the pool, or both.

Look them up (by phone is best, last time I looked for a timetable their webpage was out of date by over a year).

Oh ya I forgot about that place and it has a pool and sauna as well, then over to the life bar to regain the lost calories:)
