    Hmmmm.....tricky one, 'cos there are sooo many to choose from. A sample would include;

    Metallica - Black Album
    Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
    Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry

There are a load more, but those are some of my all time faves.

    Skyclad - Jonah's Ark

    How could I forget that!!

I agree that The Downward Spiral is a most excellent album. Trent Reznor is a musical maestro.

    Iron Maiden- Powerslave.

It's an excellent band in utterly top form. That's the album that made me an unashamed Maiden fanatic.

    oooohhhh that's a b**ch of a question .... but I'd probably go for Floyds : The Wall.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

No way I could stick to just one, or even ten...

so, in no particular order, here's just a few...

Masters Of Reality : The Blue Garden
Black Sabbath : Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (though all of Sabbath's work is of merit)
    Atheist : Unquestionable Presence
Death : Human (See Sabbath remark)
    Cynic : Focus
    Watchtower : Control & Resistance
    Obituary : Cause Of Death
Overkill : The Years Of Decay
Flotsam & Jetsam : Doomsday For The Deceiver
    Sleep : Dopesmoker
    Mindfunk : Dropped
    Metallica : Master Of Puppets
Anthrax : Among The Living, WCFYA & Stomp 442
    Led Zep : DVD
Deep Purple : Machine Head, Fireball, In Rock
Megadeth : Peace Sells, Rust In Peace
    Slayer : Reign In Blood
    Sacred Reich : Surf Nicaragua
Trouble : Trouble (see Sabbath remark)
The Obsessed : The Church Within
    Alice In Chains : Dirt
    Celtic Frost : Morbid Tales
    Death Angel : Act III
    Coroner : Mental Vortex
Faith No More : The Real Thing
    Judas Priest : Painkiller
    Kreator : Renewal
Ozzy : Blizzard Of Ozz & Diary Of A Madman
    Smashing Pumpkins : Gish
    Kyuss : Sky Valley

There's loads more, but that's a decent enough start, I'd recommend those albums to anybody.

    :)

Jesus DocJ! Couldn't you keep it down to 1?

    Anyway, my fav:
    "Six", by Mansun.

Kinda like 'trip-rock' if there is such a thing. They got £25,000 to make the video for the single Legacy. They bought 4 "Ken" dolls (from barbie), and made a £400 video about the life of a band using said dolls. They blew the rest on drugs. Legend.

Damn, forgot to mention Six, an album from the very top drawer! Little Kix was such a disappointment after that. :D

"Black Market Music" was such a let down after "Without You I'm Nothing". You think the two compare?

"Thirteenth Step" is fast becoming one of my favourite albums (although I still prefer Mer De Noms). What is The Used album like? I only have "The Taste of Ink", and I liked that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,070 ✭✭✭Placebo

The rest of 'the used album' is nothing like Taste of Ink, it is WAY better ~!
it is AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!! man, buy it now ! if your not sure, download maybe memories.

Hmmmmm, Its in its own Category, sure WYIN was mind blowing but nothing compares to Taste in Men and Haemoglobin, Some may say SWG is better than BMM but i think it was just the sate of mind i was in when BMM was released and i went to see them live at that time, so totally fell in love with the album.
