    I seen on a program on Network2 Scope(http://www.science.ie) a few weeks back they had a pair of walking shoes, which were meant to be great for exercise walking .. they had a pretty funny shape .. don't suppose anyone know what they are called

    Didn't see the show, but "Cherokee Rockers" fit your description - designed for walking, with a unique shape - a hump in the centre of the sole that allows your foot to 'rock over' from heel to toe.

    Also, e-mail them. RTE are very good at responding to queries about shows. Usually you find the presener / producer replying to your mail.
