I really liked amps standing stones so in the best tradition of the net, I nicked it.

So here's two reworked versions...
I've put them in as urls rather then imgs to keep this thread from getting big...

I mailed Hoony for the proper fontname, but he's becomre useless at replying to emails recently - must be busy or something.

Personally i reckon the Guinness Black settling background is a must.

Actually how about using the golden harp off a Guinness pint instead of the green one and throwing it against the Guinness backdrop. (without the Pint) .. maybe.

all those entries are bloody amazing. I haven't a clue which I like best. Acous and Vorosha's are brilliant - but DeV's looks great on the current site too (I wonder what it's look like if we replaced the beam-lifter with acous' pint guzzler.)

Maybe we should have a rotating banner (a la ads) which picks a random one from our selection every time. I could write the code.

Yeah I think we should pick 4 and cycle them as there are now too many good bits to include in all the banners.

Acous, I really like that buy on the left (infact the whole left hand side of your pic rocks) and I'd like to replace the girder lifter on my one with that.

Can you send me the bits and I'll combine our banners into a new one.

Indeed Acous' one is class, I'd like to see how it'd look with some settling guinness too. Love the pint in the hand, certainly representative of how I like to play quake.
Though if going for the guiness backdrop I'd say keep the harp green to have some green
element to the thing

but like the pint is defying gravity and ****, ye should change it so the guinness in the pint is on the horizontal, and maybe have some spillage (god forbid) sloshing about.

the rotating banner idea does indeed suck,
rotating banners suck enuf without choosing to put one up when you don't have to

shurely you want to build your page to suit the certain style banner you choose to use

Acous' is still the sweetest with Daire's coming close second, daire is *** tho so acous gets it.
