Changing Diet

    So.

Right now I'm hitting the gym 4-5 times per week.

I do opposing muscle sets and hard abs on my gym days.

I reckon I've not so much lost weight as converted excess fat to muscle... which is good.

The thing being, right now, even though I'm doing a farily heavy training regieme, I just can't seem to get ripped.

I have 'some' definition of my upper abdominials, but, I reckon I have to shed some fat (or just work out even harder), in order to get ripped/cut up.

Right now my plans are to alter my diet.

To cut out completely (or in so far as practicle) use of pan fired/stir fried food ( and yes I use olive oil/sunflower oil), and to cut out Cheddar cheese (and as much red meat as possible), supplanting these foods with boiled and grilled variants and chicken/tuna fish, where I would ordinarily eat red meat.

After shedding the last bit of ... well fat around my lower abs and lats, I'm thinking that a high protien diet should allow for muscle growth, while keeping all those hard to burn fats, out of my system.

I'm even going so far as to give up drinking 'beer/stout' when I drink and sticking to shrug wine or Vodka/tonic/juice combinations.

The diet front is not something I have any pertinent experience in, so any input on this topic highly appreciated.

    Much Regards
    Bethany.

There is a far simpler idea. Since you've got a fair bit of muscle on ya a decent cardio workout everyday will burn a rake of calories. Keep your diet the same and do an hour cardio a day (before work or something). Then say bye bye to the fat!

    Sounds like a plan.

Between work and living, I'm doing well to get to the gym 4-5 times a week for 1-2 hours.

I'm not sure where I could fit in something aerobic.

I 'guess' on the other 2-3 days, I could swim (which is bound to burn fat)....

I could always just sick up my dinner I suppose....

    *grumble*

I know the feeling, I've only got time for cardio and not for resistance training :(
