I did a test in asp online, bearing in mind we have Eamon Cass as a teacher so I know nothing!

I got 70% wooooh hoooo! I hope those questions come up in final exam lol

Well in reality now I can't code a thing but somehow I managed to pass the test so, I'm debating on what language to use for my project now

after doign a year of ASP ... i strongly advise against projects on it ...
we ran it on win2k iis ... and had multiple horrible feic ups & just bits that didnt work that should have an bleurgh
it verged on cobolocks!

you go to the webpage
unlike a static page which shows same information all time [until manually changed]
ASP pages are dynamic
so for instance can put in
<%
time();
%>

that code is prob wrong, been yr since i did it ... but something along those lines. .. it will display the current time on the webpage ... taken from the server where the webpage resides on

not exactly. asp is the framework. You can use any language with it as long you have an interpeter for it on the machine ( eg ASP with Java is quite possible and easy!)
And Sean:IIS is/was shite that's why it crashed.
