Basically "Borrowed" (ahem) this idea from the Discworld thread
a test your knowledge of star wars see if the idea takes off
can be any question you want from the books/films etc

the way it works is i'll ask the 1st question who ever gets it right can ask the next question and who ever gets that one right asks the next and so on you cant ask a question unless you get one correct

i'll start off with an easy one

What was Luke planning on going to Toshi Station for before his Uncle Owen makes him stay home and clean up the new droids?

Fair enough, how about we use spoiler tags for all the answers so that the thread can build into a quiz for anyone to use later on.

I'll let someone else handle this question...unless it takes too long, and I just go and watch ANH again :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,126 ✭✭✭][cEMAN**

Yeah he did - that's why he was so important to the rebellion that he had to be jetisoned with C3PO and sent to Obi Wan to get him back to the Rebellion.

i thought it said in ANH that good men died getting the information?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 354 ✭✭Mick L

Nah your thinking of ROTJ in the briefing given by Mon Mothma. I think spooiirt!! might have meant this as well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11 mr smiley

I think Mon Monthma said something like:
"Many bothans died to bring us this information"

So to make this into a question - who was the leader of the Bothans who got the second Death Star plans?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 354 ✭✭Mick L

    Koth Melan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,997 ✭✭✭jaggeh

    Executor - Fondor
    Lusankya - Coruscant

easy- WHERE was the death star designed?

Hard - What planet were the storm troopers trained on?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭TheSonOfBattles

Easy answer: Maw Cluster Installation by Bevil Lemelisk

Hard answer: Carida (Most likely this is the planet your on about, as there were obviously many stormtrooper training facilities on many differant planets)

Also, I think the Lusankya was only buried on Coruscant, not actually built there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,997 ✭✭✭jaggeh

    first correct

second correct, but carida was THE stormtrooper training WORLD. as in there was nothing else happening there except some weapons development (re AT-MT)

as to lusankya it was actually built underground, you would think the populace and rebel spies would notice a 7km long ship parking on the planet surface and getting built over (unless the emperor used david blaine mind tricks)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭TheSonOfBattles

I stand corrected on both counts. Whoops and all that.

    As for my questions:

Easy: What is the name of the force blocking creatures introduced in the Thrawn books?

Hard: What company produced the X-1 Viper?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 482 ✭✭spooiirt!!

    easy: yaslimari
hard: no idea, ill guess Incom

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 410 ✭✭Drazhar

The Lusankya was actually built at the KDY yards above Kuat. The Emperor did actually use a mind trick on the people of coruscant. It says so in the Xwin books (the one where the Lusankya takes off)

    Lusankya & Executor = 17.6km, http://www.theforce.net/swtc/ssd.html#size

The rebels thought that the Lusankya was actually the executor when it was being built, as did the Imperial Navy. The construction at Fondor was top secret, and only emerged after the lusankya emerged. Just shows how powerful the Emperor was

X-1 Viper was built by Balmorran Arms, under Govenor Beltane
