Anyone remember Motor Mouth?? Saturday morning 'going live type' programme? 'Bout 12 or 13 years ago?
Remember those little video games where the person played with their phone buttons?
    Remember Joe Razz?
Friend of mine in primary school thought I looked like him (and I liked to jump and climb about the place too!) It's stuck from then. I've used variation called KakaRaz from my Dragonball Z phase :) and Joe-Raz or Joe_Raz for different things.
You wouldn't think there was so much behind those 3 little letters.
I've only ever used one other nick. Psycho9 (Psycho was taken so I put in a number like all noobs do :p) I thought it was cool :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,312 ✭✭✭mr_angry

Mine comes from just being generally angry. Not all the time, but I seem to come out with unusually psychotic statements now and again. In between, I'm a pacifist though.

For example, one time myself and my friends were sitting in the DKIT canteen. For the past few days, people had been stealing our seats while we were up getting food, but on this particular day, we'd been lucky. Anyway, nobody had talked for about 10 minutes - we'd all been busy eating. It began to become obvious though, and one of my mates said "What's everyone been thinking about for the last 10 minutes?". The other guys said something fairly normal, but when it came to me, I said "I wonder how threatening it would be to go up to someone who'd stolen your chair, wielding a plastic fork, and say 'Its a good job they don't give us metal cutlery in the canteen', in a very sinister way". People seemed to be very worried about that, for some reason. It was just an idle daydream...

Anyway, that's where mr_angry came from. The 4 was just because mr_angry was already taken. It was probably me, and I'd just forgotten I'd registered already. Still, made me angry. Grrr...

the placebo song "passive agressive". it was my display name during a whiny/angry at the world time...then i moved on to just whiny so i ditched the "agresssive". and here ya go

I'm thinking the missing digits are "a" and "t". I think everyone should have a guess...

My name's Ronan. If you write it into a phone, predictive text makes Roman of it. Then it's a simple process of seperating it into two words, throwing in an extra "a" or two in the second word, and jazzing it up with a ":" and a "!". Sounds rather good on me...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,604 ✭✭✭blondie83

Mine came from the colour of my hair, although I suppose you already all guessed that one!:D

I've used a number of nicks in my time, but Cabaal comes for the name of the Nod computer in C&C Tiberian Sun.

Also it has something to do with spirits or something and its also a group/collection but I believe that Cabaal is spelled differently.

    Right bed for me...

    thus my name.
I had often wondered about your name actually, but I don't know you so I didn't think it would be right to ask.

I suppose I assumed it meant nothing really, but it struck me as a quite "poetic" sounding phrase. Well now I know - cheers!

    pretty obvious really (?)

Kananga[kunang´gu] Pronunciation Key, formerly Luluabourg[lOOlwabOOr´] Pronunciation Key, city (1984 pop. 298,693), capital of Kasai-Occidental prov., S central Congo (Kinshasa), on the Lulua River. It is the commercial and transportation center of a region where cotton is grown and diamonds are mined. The city was founded in 1884 by the German explorer Hermann von Wissmann. In 1895, Batetela troops stationed there revolted after their chief was executed by authorities of the Belgian-run Independent State of the Congo. At first successful, the mutineers were finally defeated in 1901. Kananga grew rapidly in the early 20th cent. with the coming of the railroad. Many Luba people settled there and became economically dominant over the indigenous Lulua people. After the Congo achieved independence (1960), there were violent clashes between the Luba and Lulua, and many Luba fled to the short-lived (1960–61) Mining State of South Kasai. In 1961–62, the city was held by rebel troops from Equateur prov.

Cor, you learn new things every day. Before opening this thread...

    1) I did not know that merc played CS

    2) I had somehow never copped that Funky is the same bloke as FunkyChicken from all those years ago (assuming that he actually is).

    My education continues apace!

Er, anyway - mine comes from an anime character, unsurprisingly enough. It was relatively unique when I started using it (about 1995-ish), but since then the series has been released in the USA and Europe and the net is flooded with Shinjis :(
