Hey all,

I have a medical tomorrow for a job with a large multinational...

just wondering what's involved with a medical and what the doctor actually tests for etc..

Varies I'm afraid.

You can usually expect:

A questionnaire - to appraise lifestyle and habits.
Heart listening
Blood pressure
Urine sample
Possibly hair sample
Some lung/breathing tests
Occasionally some movement tests
Quick check of your nads

Although the last bit I only got for a boxing medical.

They're just to check that you are not:
A) A junkie/alcoholic
Going to keel over on them

and then documenting any conditions you might have so you can't blame them and sue them later on.

Don't fret about it.

Oh, btw, I've never heard of anyone turned down coz they smoked hash 3 weeks before the medical (not that I'm advocating this).
