First you notice someone by their avatar, kinda get a personality feeling about them. There have even been threads on why you've choosen your avatar.

Next. You notice your favorite posters by their avatars.

Then you see someone has stolen your avatar?

It does quite annoy me a tad. But I usually associate the poster with the avatar, and not the avatar with the poster.

This been the case its not the end of the world.

I think perhaps if there were some way to limit the use of avatars to only one user this problem may not occur. It's difficult to keep track of all the avatar stealing newbies around and it can I admit become confusing if a number of people with the same avatar post on the one thread. I noticed a thread where Lemming and Mr.Taz both posted each has "Taz" for their avatar.

I've not noticed anyone else with "Harley Quinn" as their avatar, possibly because I spam so much people realise that She's mine!!!

Don't bother with one for that very reason.

I used to have the deceptacon head then noticed more than one person using it.

I even confused myself thinking Hey I didnt post that, only to look at the name and realise my mistake.

Once the subscriber packs are available in my area DOH! I mean available by credit card I will get one.

I used to have problems with this, choosing an avatar then finding out that someone else had it. It was also hard for me to find one that suited. So eventually I just scrapped them. I disabled avatars in my user cp and got rid of my own avatar. This way forces people to read my nick if they want to find out who wrote the post.

i haven't seen anyone with mine yet either. But i share DR view. I do tend to think of the poster by their avatar, so if someone takes it or that poster changes their avatar i find it kind of straneg and don't recognise them the same as i would if they had their avatar that i know

When someone uses my avatar I feel like biting their throat open, and spitting their own blood into their eyes. Kind of.

It seems alot of people like to "steal" my avatar. If I was to meet them in public I would perform the above operation.
