All Time Top 10

IGN.com recently posted a list of the top 100 games of all time and Super Mario Bros came out tops. Now I am a big fan of Nintendo and Nintendo games and I do think that Super Mario Bros is a great game but personally it wouldn’t even make my top 10. So I ask the question. What would be your top 10 games of all time on any format? Mine would be as follows.

10. Command and Conquer Generals (PC)
9. Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening (Gameboy)
8. Another World (Commodore Amiga)
7. Battlefield 1942 (PC)
6. Return Fire (3DO)
5. Prince of Persia (Commodore Amiga)
4. IK+ (Commodore 64)
3. Street Fighter 2 (Super Nintendo)
2. Half Life (PC)
1. Halo (Xbox)

Yeah Street Fighter was great in it's day but with Capcom vs SNK 2 and the like out now you'd never go back to it. So if it's in there for sentimental value then in that case you might aswel throw in Super Mario Bros. too!

Also that list is lacking the word Goldeneye...:ninja:

Personally i don't think that you should be allowed to have an opinion if you put halo as your number one.

Me ? There is only one game worth buying.

The sims nothing compares to this marvellous piece of work. It has sapped my life away. Day after day i try to chat up the hot young girl next door, only for her to reject my advances. Can anyone tell me how i can see some hot loving in the game as if i do i'll have achieved all my life goals.

6. *slap* scorched earth/tanks (it was there before worms...)

single player:
7. grand theft auto 3 (pc)
8. lemmings (pc)
9. super metroid (snes)
10. starwing (snes)

Hmm im sure i have forgotten loads but this is my list that i can think of atm:

11:Streets of Rage (Mega Drive)
10:FF7
9:Wing Commander 1 and 2. (including bonus missions) [PC]
8:Civilization1 (but 3 is also very good) [PC]
7:Deus Ex [PC]
6:Resident Evil 2 [PS1]
5:Grand Theft Auto 1 [Ps1] (all of em but gta1 was original)
4:Resident Evil: Directors Cut [PS1]
3:Command & Conquer Series (Red Alert2 was only ok)

But my number one game which i have not been able to ever match is:
1: Wing Commander. Privateer (and Righteous Fire) [PC]

Ive also waisted hours on end on transport Tycoon and Panzer General (both ps1)

really moll, and thats your opinion.
i think halo was a great game, maybe not the best of all time, but none the less, a great game and easily would make it into a top 10 of my own.

9. IK+ Amiga version(it was indeed the game you're thinking of, and damn good! You could change the judge's jacket at will, and make everyone's trousers fall down with the push of a button...

Hey each to their own Molly but how anybody can slag off Halo and then follow it up with nothing compares to The Sims, is laughable. Well IMO, but as I said each to their own.

Ill be posting the results so far in a bit.

PS. this question is on a number of boards so you may be surprised by the results.
