    Original Cards: www.boards.ie/gathering

    Make your own!

I've made a couple which I've linked below with some others, personally I'd love to see more gather cards.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words ;) .

    The New Gathering Cards.

[edit]All in one place now, more or less, and unfortuantely we've lost some in the sea of internet time... a silent prayer for the Yoda card please.[/edit]

Also, if you've made a card and would like to add a brief description on it's origin to [wiki]Biki[/wiki] on the [wiki]Gathering Cards[/wiki] page, please do!

    Excellent! :D

I'm preparing some ideas and samples of things that the board might be used for, to give the uninitiated an idea of what it's all about :) .

    Here's my (frankly pathetic) offering.

Just getting to grips with the gimp, hence the shioteness :)

Seamus, you should sort out that text and picture mate.
Then again, my text isn't too great either...
I can't remember what format the text was meant to be in...

  • Subscribers Posts: 9,716 ✭✭✭CuLT

n1 :) , have to say, the Cyber Stream one is my favourite :D .

For the cards I did I used Times New Roman size 12 for the card title (in bold), size 10 for the card text, and size ten, emboldened, itallic'd for the quote.

    Hehehe another nice contribution.
    Nice one Fio :)

Although you may want to correct the ' Using the "God Given Right" or card will double cards effectiveness ' part...

Other than that, spot on :D

An céad ceann as Gaeilge? The first in Irish?
Plagiarised the Muppet one for the Gaeilge forum, as used in this thread.

I think the preferred term is "skanger".

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31,967 ✭✭✭✭Sarky

    "Gormless Knack"

Target player gains a Silly Accent, urge to hit people/objects with higher I.Q., and a cheap ring on every finger. May be combined with "Jacinteh" or "Nahalee" card to create 1 extra knacker counter/turn.

    Or something like that...

    lads
what are the chances of getting a gathering card based on Father Teds poster of 'Reality & Dreams' which he made for Fr. Dougle
sometimes the stories on PI are so ridiculous that I believe I would use this card a lot :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,598 ✭✭✭Yavvy

Ill give that a go today

what text would you link in it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,598 ✭✭✭Yavvy

not quite sure Alany, something like

Card can be played when user cannot discern the difference between ‘reality and their dreams’. Gives user +120 on ‘delusional idiot’ attribute and gives holder +80 on ‘Freudian explanation’ skill which usually leads to ‘killing father/ sleeping with mother’ explanations regardless of topic. Cards effects permanent when played by Beruthiel

    what do you think?

I dunno. I think just having the text being "These are very small and those are fair away" would have both a sarcastic AND surreal effect to it.

    But that's just me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,468 ✭✭✭Evil Phil

and is there any chance of a 'Do your own homework' card for the programming board*? I'd do it myself but then it would be crap.

*The irony of asking somebody else to do this doesn't escape me
