Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Historical photographer - Holloway

Hi, wondering if anyone knows anything about this photographer, the usual Google searches are not coming up with anything. I was told the photo was of an Irish woman (in Ireland), but next to Holloway I think it says "Newport RI". I'd be grateful for any ideas, thanks!

Here's an eBay listing for a historic photo with the exact same inscription on the bottom:

The address given on the back of the photo is "Holloway, W. C., photographer, corner Marlboro and Thames Sts., Newport, RI"

RI being the sate of Rhode Island in the USA.

Here's the location. There's actually a photography gallery called "Alexander Nesbitt" just beside there now. Maybe they know something about their local predecessor.

I should have been a detective...
