    Tax is e88.
VRT is e1050 and then drops depending on year of Bike.
Google it and you can see exactly how it works.
Ona 2008 bike the VRT should be very low.

Assuming you're still looking at a Deauville 700 the actual cc is 680 so you ONLY PAY 103 euros!!

Make sure it has over 6k km on the clock when you present it or you'll get hit for VAT

Or you could drive it home. Its easy to get any bike home in just over 6000km and remain within the island of ireland, once you take in the scenic spots such as Westport, Doolin,Dingle, Sneem, Castletownbere, Thurles, Rosslare, Mullingar dundalk and athlone.
Or try to visit every county....

Not so easily done these days though!
I doubt any 700 will have less than 6000k on it unless its NOS found in a crate somewhere!

I think the Gardai bought anything left sitting in a crate, and that was in 2017. Most of those were 2014 builds.

I met a couple of lads In Lismore during the summer who were "running in" a recent purchase. They had come from Tullamore, and were on their way to Tramore....
I presume Ardmore, Templemore, and Lettermore was also on their itinerary.
