Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We should have these threads numbered. Is this six or seven...?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

No way, must be at least a dozen of these by now. When did the 10,000 limit get introduced? I reckon it's three and a half threads a season.

I'm strangely ambivalent about Liverpool right now, no doubt I'll be shouting at the screen tomorrow but right now I don't really give a damn.

Maybe white shorts to stop it being entirely helmet-coloured.

No way, put a yellow hoop through it and we can get a shirt sponsorship from Party Rings. :D

Regarding Lovren and the 5 tablets pre game & not training etc, Klopp said something along the lines of "we couldn't rest him", he's fine now apparently :)

Could be a decent game if Tony Pulis decides not to park the bus.

I don't think we're in a position to pisstake their tactics, they've a +19 GD compared to our +1 not to mention the 7 point gap too.

Sure but they have also have the easiest fixtures up to this point in the season. The next 3-4 fixtures we will see Jose return to type. He never plays open football against teams that are his equal. A few big wins against poor opposition won't change the habit of a lifetime.

I think pisstaking can be done at anytime.

If you're the the pisstaking police I'm sorry officer.

I'm not so sure. Them being top of the league they might want to keep the momentum going

A bit one dimensional though the oul bus gag isn't it, some might say it's like Klopps tactics! I wouldn't say that though.

They can combine being defensive while having a go at times.

It's at anfield too so we should be having a go and forcing them to defend.

Least Fellaini can't elbow the daylights out of someone and 100% get away with it too.

Think tomorrow's game will be pretty dour, expect Utd to pump long balls towards Lukaku to counter our counter pressing. Worked for them last year in so far as they didn't lose.

I expect a tight game with Liverpool narrowly coming out on top, 5-2.

Poor form from them but hardly surprising.

When is the last time Henry attended a match?

Sure didnt they not attend gerrards last game ?

I'm not even halfway through a 16 hour night shift I'm going to struggle to stay awake for the game tomorrow especially if I have a few Jameson's nightcaps before it starts.

I'm far from being an FSG out type but this was appalling by them. Should have been at least one of them there to pay respects to a living legend. They're really not in touch with what's going on over here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

"Prior engagement" for all 3 of them? Seems kinda flimsy as an excuse. I dont really care all that much but I can see how people could get annoyed at that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,982 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

It is a serious trek to get over to Liverpool from Boston, so i can see it being a thing that would be hassle to schedule on any given day - but what I don't quite get is why they would choose to have the ceremony on a day when the owners couldn't come? Like, it could be any time at all... there's nothing symbolic about this weekend in particular - postpone it a month if it means they could be there. Makes little difference.

    Does look bad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Yea, I doubt they planned this whole ceremony last minute. Surely one of the biggest things was to schedule a time where at least one of them could attend?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

To keep things in perspective though, they did honour Kenny by naming a stand after him in the first place.......its a big gesture lets be honest...some will get angry because they weren't at the unveiling so this will probably overshadow it unfortunately.

They're awful fuckers for these PR 'gaffes'.

As you say, they did all the hard work by actually making this happen. And then shoot themselves in the foot by none of them being there. Silly stuff.

You can be certain that the idea to name a stand after Kenny didn't come from the States. None of them making an effort to show their faces today is a definite snub to a club icon. They can't spin this any other way.

Sure, of course it likely wouldn't have been their idea, but they still made it happen. As opposed to, like, selling the naming rights to Coke or something.
