“It’s a huge investment but TV3 needs a huge show like Ireland’s Got Talent to take on Dancing With the Stars on RTE One.”

Um, yeah, uh, I guess... :o  ;)

Of course, there has already been an Irish talent show in the 2010s, as RTE will testify (though it never really caught on and was replaced by the Voice of Ireland). ;)

Also, when it comes to the Got Talent franchise, aren't TV3 rather late to the party? AGT began 11 years ago now, and BGT 10 - and BGT has been tiring in recent years, too... :o

Can anybody remember The All Ireland Talent Show? I'm not sure how I feel about this to be honest!

    Oh stop, cringe yeah.

This could be good if they spend a lot of money on it but they need at least 1 serious/real celebrity as a judge.

Thought I saw Baz and Lucy Kennedy being mentioned as hosts, bad enough on their own but at the same time , it's like TV3 want to torture people not entertain them

Lulu Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Sam Mumba rumoured for judging roles

Surely Ronan Keating has to judge... The guy is a leg end legend.

I don't think he and Lulu Walsh are on good terms

Jedward would be a hoot as judges :D

Denise is surely far too good for a show like this?!?

(I'd never trust the Irish or British Sun, either. :o  ;))

I think I read some where that Lucy Kennedy might be one of the hosts!

Will they get to shoe-horn Niall Breslin in somewhere? Or is he still caught up in the Voice?

No idea she was on CBB a while back, never stops talking about LGBT things.

Think this show will be all about Louis walsh and rubbing his ego

With Michelle Visage on the panel, this actually has potential.

For those who don't know who she is, she's a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race (which is well worth watching by the way - easily one of the best Reality Competition Shows on TV) and she's not one to hold back her opinions, so won't be afraid to tell people they're s**t.

Could they have got any actual comedian, even Al Porter would be better

She's part of Ru Paul's drag race and was a singer as well - I only know that because she was in CBB a few years back

Well I definitely won't be watching now.

I honestly cannot believe Denise has agreed to do this...

Did Lulu Walsh not have a diss at all the Irish reality shows, his usual shtick when promoting X Factor

I dread to think what kind of novelty acts they'll have - such as doggie acts, circus type acts, dancing till we're blue in the face watching them, not to mention "danger acts"! Cringe!

It's hard to know who'd go for it to be honest because a good few would go for Britain's got talent. I can see a lot of local drama/singing groups on it.

Will watch for Michelle. She makes Simon Cowell in his hey day look like a pussy cat. She will either be loved or hated by the public, I suspect the latter.

Rylan had her on a lot on BBOTS - mostly coming from America (Hollywood, I think). She seems an interesting choice.

A friend went to the 1st auditions today and was surprised that the stage looked so good and the talent and judges were all quite good too
