Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Congratulations to 14 year old Tom O Gorman from Dun Laoghaire Chess Club for today breaking through 2300 ELO and qualifying for the FM title.

Tom is currently playing in the Copenhagen Chess Challege where this morning he beat a 2440 rated IM to reach a live rating of circa 2307 elo.

Tom followed up this mornings victory with a draw against another IM this afternoon (2351) which leaves him on a score of 4.5 after 7 rounds.

Tom played board 1 for Dun Laoghaire in the Armstrong division this season and was a member of the successful Irish Glorney cup winning teams of 2015 and 2016
