Easy Irish song for children to learn....

HELP!! I'm teaching Irish culture in Beijing at the minute and the kids want to learn an Irish song to sing at the end of the year... the problem I haven't a clue what song to teach them! Because the lyrics of most traditional songs will be unfamiliar to them I was thinking of a westlife song but its mostly covers they sing right???? I don't listen to their music so I wouldn't know. Please don't tell me to look up youtube I live in China and can't access it You help would be much appreciated

Yes believe it or not most Chinese people don't know about Ireland, but they know Westlife and presume that they come from England or America.

Many thanks for the web link

Danny Boy mightn't be too bad a tune to try on them.

The Rose of Tralee either.

Do you want an Irish song in English or in Irish?

If they're small children, "Dilín o deamhas" might work - it's a kind of nonsense song.

If you can access this site it has lyrics and music for that, and a few other songs (you might want to look at Micheal Finnegan as well)

What age group are the children? If they're teenagers maybe some U2?

There's an Irish Abroad website with songs and lyrics : http://www.irishabroad.com/culture/pubs/songs/
