Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Most financial websites dont have "Site Design by ?????????" on the bottom of them

New sites don't get google sitelinks either though, so they're unlikely to be a fly-by-night. Their blog would /suggest/ they've been around at least 2 years. That said, I've never heard of 'em.

Quote form goes to https://www.mcclartysinsurance.co.uk/, which redirects to http://www.easyinsure.co.uk/.

quinn direct seems to be the cheapest i can find though

I've gotten quotes from them in the past (for my hubby, I'm too young :p) and TBH, they weren't all that competitive. I got better ones from Glennon brokers, and the AA.

Mrs. K got a great quote off them a few years ago & renewed again last year. She had a minor scrape & the other driver sent on a crazy repair estimate which we had to forward to the insurer.
They dealt with it without issue.
So yep, a good insurer in my experience.

I had a policy with them for a year two or three years ago.
Can't say wether they were good or bad because I had no reason
to contact them. But the renewal was on the steep side.
My policy had risen by over €100. When I rang them they
Knocked €50 off straight away. Didn't bother with it though
    as I got cheaper elsewhere.
One thing about them tho thats just came back to me -
should you need to ring them, you're hit with a charge.
Iirc could have been €20 a pop. Everything had to be
done online. Not sure if they still do this but it was clearly
    flagged in the website.

I got my insurance with them. It was over 400 euro cheaper than my renewal quote. I have had no reason to deal with them yet but all seems good so far

Was with them for last 2 years. Never had reason to deal with them thankfully. They were the cheapest around. However this year my renewal jumped €105. I rang them and asked them to explain. The girl said she would look into it and get back to me. And I never heard from them again.

Decided to look around and ended up with FBD. €40 cheaper than last year and €145 cheaper than my renewal qoute from 25plus this year :)

    I'm insured with 25plus.ie

They were several hundred euro cheaper than anyone when I had my RX 8, and were €50 cheaper than anyone else this year on a 1.8

Plus there's lots of benefits like free roadside assistance, windscreen cover etc.

Try Glennon or else Sheridan Insurance (depending on where you live) but when I left 25.ie that's where I got better quotes from

had a claim 3 years ago so thats affecting my options!

I'm doing the rounds today for my own renewal, Zurich's renewal quote wasn't very friendly.

I have made around 10 calls so far. I'll get on to the brokers next.

So far FBD are looking like the best, Allianz the worst at 50% more expensive.

I would have thought "wouldn't touch them with a bargepole" also implied "didn't touch them with a bargepole".

No, I have never dealt with Quinn. I can read.
