    Hi all,

I was wondering if there are people in the wider cork area (including kinda famous areas like midleton) that come highly recommended? Most posts seem to be about dublin :( In particular I am looking for a Cork artist skilled in white ink (i'm a perfectionist) but am also looking to get some regular ink work done so would appreciate any advice or recommendations :)

I would highly recommend Raul in Smily Dogg tattoos in Dennehy's cross. I'm very happy with the work he did for me and his portfolio is awesome. I've also heard many good things about Holy cow tattoos in Midleton.

    I have too. :pac:

    No. Really.

Can't really find a link to their parlour, but here's a link to the Tattoo Show you might find them in the photos or in their friends.

Thanks guys, I too have only heard good things about these places, but i'm kind of looking for a little more detail? You know like, 'Raul did mine and he's fab at shading', or 'Karen from Holy cow did mine and she's fab at colour', that kind of stuff?? Does anyone LOVE what their artist did? Oh, also, does anyone know ANYONE that does white work or will i have to trek up the the pale??!!

Again, thanks for the replies so far, reinforced what i've already heard!

My tattoo that Raul did is dot work which he did very well. His portfolio is very diverse, celtic, aztec, photo-realistic. Worth going in to the studio to have a look.

Now that sounds interesting, defo will, where in dennehy's cross is it?

Thanks ordinarywoman, very excited about this now, in all the research i've done no one has actually been able to give me the name of someone down here that does white work!! Only problem is that the link you sent didn't work, any chance of a repost? Cheers :)

Ross in Holy Cow did both of mine.

Here's my latest one. Really happy with it. It's from a painting by Salvador Dali.

    Just after getting it done:

Wow, thats lovely, really nice detail.

Between that and all the links ordinarywoman has sent me i'm finally getting places!! I liked the midleton tattoo festival on fb, and the guy in Cobh OW sent me, and low and behold in midletons album are pictures of Raul and Paul! Cork is such a small world!

Back to the topic though, Raul is definitely worth a visit, think may pop over to him tomorrow :D

Might also try get to midleton later in the week...c if they are familiar with white work :/

Just fyi i'm booked into Raul early next week, his work looked amazing.

Only thing i'm not too pleased about was he didnt seem to want to give me any time to discuss tatt :( ??? I'd paid my deposit, and filled the form but didn't feel too welcome about asking q's, i mean i know my tatts r small, but like everyone's, they're really special to me!

Will let you know how i get on :)

best of luck with your tatt. am covered in them, small was never an option for me!

Ah yes revdave but we've been spoilt by Phil's professionalism, spectacular knowledge and experience....all of that less the ego!
