The best ever was Micheal Keaton, he couldnt have made a worse decision than to stop playing him.
And of course Michelle Pfeiffer was amazing as Catwoman, and a babe.
Will the sequals live up to the first, they havent so far but Jim Carrey was made for the role of the Riddler.

He may have been made for it, but it still turned out to be a pretty crap role.

Best Batman baddie performance without doubt has to be Jack Nicholson. The man is a fantastic actor. Nuff said.

Oh- I hear Burton won't be directing the next Batman due to him having a falling out with Warner Bros. ... shame shame...

Isnt burton doing the new planet of the apes?
Strack was a good baddie in returns.
With the crap that was batman forever Michael keaton got out just in time imho.

    One Mickey Keaton!
    One Mickey Keaton!
    One Mickey Keaton!
    There's only one, Micky Keaton!

And the same could be said for Jack. He is *THE* man.

    All the best,

    just on the subject..
ive taken to watching old batman episodes and boy are they hilarious:

batman and robin stuck in sound chamber getting their heads drilled to mush by loud noise.. so they start makin a high pitched noise which somehow shatters the plastic chamber.

the later episodes of this were so bloody cheesy its painful to watch sometimes.

oh and on subject: definitly Nicholson and Keaton

    You FOOLS!

Adam West was clearly the best batman.

And how come batman doesn't dance anymore...

Good ole Jack did kick ass as the Joker all right, i loved the bit when he pulled out the gun with the comedy metre long barrel and shot the bat plane out of the sky.
The old episodes are hilarious and are usually on RTE on a sunday mornin. Robins phrases never seem to stop amazing me, "HOLY SMOKING ASHTRAYS BATMAN!!!", "HOLY FROZEN FOODS BATMAN", and the likes.
