Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This seems to have crept into various sports.
It happens - where the MOM award is sponsored by a company or radio/television

Carlow were playing Dublin today in the hurling.
Dublin won well with a man down.
Yet the competition for the MOM award (on local Carlow Radio) was for Carlow players only!

They does not even seem to be this pretense of 'home teams only' when it comes to Soccer. How many times have Ireland got well beaten and the MOM award is given to the Irish goalkeeper!
No matter how badly Ireland do an Irish player is always going to get the MOM award.

I was just wondering what is the logic behind this. How does it help the sponsors marketing the MOM award?

Surely it just makes it farcical?
    It annoys me anyway.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.
