Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should I get the Neumann U87 for voiceovers?

Maybe not the most suitable forum for this but I want to do voiceovers and have been told that the professionals use high end XLR microphones (€800+). I tried my friends Neumann U87 and was surprised by the difference in quality compared to my €200 microphone. His is €2,000 and simply superb.

But I've heard that soundproofing is just as important and that there's no point in purchasing an expensive mic if you don't have good soundproofing as it will pick up all the undesired sounds even more than a cheap one.

Also, how would I go about connecting it to my laptop? I've heard I need an interface.
