Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Good Ol Nate

Bit of a curates egg that one. On the one hand it was an entertaining scrap. On the other, it was disappointingly one sided.

I wonder how much Nate gets paid for this.

Any reason why Nick isn’t in Nate’s corner?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,118 ✭✭✭tommyboy26

how did one judge have it 28-27

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,047 ✭✭✭Jamiekelly

Mcgregor will take one look at that fight and sh!t himself. He's definitely not going to take the trilogy fight now with Nate looking THAT good. The mans a machine.

Great scrap, Nate showing no signs of the layoff.

Masvidal said during the week he would sign to fight Nate in a heart beat, hopefully they make it happen.

How can you be 3 years out and take Pettis apart.

    Machine.

Him v Masvidal would be money.

They don’t even need to sign anything, put the pair of them in a car park and get a cameraman on it. :pac:

It would be like watching your brothers fight..

UFC might do better to hold that one off for one fight, tidy things up a bit..

Looks like DC had a few pizzas, he is a big unit now...

  • Registered Users Posts: 126 ✭✭Cormo87

DC has a scar above his left eyebrow, has that always been there? Interesting to see if it's opened up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,118 ✭✭✭tommyboy26

    some strength on DC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,118 ✭✭✭tommyboy26

DC learned alot from Jon Jones. Mainly eyepokes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

Its like DC is demonstrating he is superior in every aspect of the game. First round ground work, second round boxing, third ??? KO ???

    Stipe is looking exhausted.

is DC trying to prove the first one was not a fluke?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,280 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

    Loving this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,118 ✭✭✭tommyboy26

    holy fcuk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,481 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

What a fourth round from Stipe, killed him with body shots and finished him up top. Savage performance, love DC but full credit to Stipe there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,919 ✭✭✭simongurnick

    An irish jig from stipe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,423 ✭✭✭✭Outlaw Pete

    Wow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,118 ✭✭✭tommyboy26

    those body shots were savage.

    trilogy fight?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

Thought it was the beginning of the end after the third. Miocic looked like he was fading fast, but bloody hell that was come comeback.

    DC to retire hear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,603 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

Not surprised. As great as the jump to HW was for DC. People really forgot that Stipe was originally a decent favourite for good reason.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 988 ✭✭✭brendanwalsh

Cormier was much better fighter. Shame he lost via the same trick Jones stung him with

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,118 ✭✭✭tommyboy26

thought DC was going to retire there

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,462 Mod ✭✭✭✭Axwell

Great fight, feel sorry for DC think he would have retired anyways had he won and gone out on a high, dont think theres anything left for him to compete for at this stage and think he will call it a day. Fair play to Stipe though, great comeback and finish.

The quivering in his voice there says he'll retire.

    Very disappointing.

HW is just so high variance.

Really thought DC had him but the body shots changed it all and he closed the show well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 813 ✭✭✭Macdarack

Warning I know f all about mma but was Diazs boxing as good as we all hear and is his cardio as good as we all hear, he was in some good positions to flurry a load of punches last night and it was frustrating to watch when he didn't use his opportunitys to stand dish out a flurry. He looked tired early too.
I could be talking absolute shiit too.

    Post-fight Nate is some craic.

Big ol' snort of a laugh when he didn't seem to know who Colby is when asked about him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,904 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Beaming for Stipe, savage body shots. Feel kinda bad for DC, would have been a nice way to retire if he got the w.

Nate vs Jorge has to happen ASAP.

Just watched it there. Delighted for Miocic, I wouldn't be the biggest fan of Cormier. Nothing personal, just not a fan of his style.

It was an enjoyable fight, but the stand up skills on show where beyond poor. It seems there's literally no thought to defence in their stand up.

There's not an ounce of head movement from either fighter. It looks to me like their strategy is they'll hit each other, and they'll see who's face can withstand the most damage. It's pretty archaic really
