Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, we have a Canoeing and Kayaking forum ( thanks tonyator for the suggestion and mods for making it happen)

Now i think it'd be an idea to say what you are.

Are you a river running kayaker?
Or are you a sea kayaker with a long streamlined hull?

    or a bit of both?

    What are you? 38 votes

I'm a sea kayaker. The kayak allows me to go into the shallows and rocks where I wouldn't dream of taking a boat with a keel.

Could you add in Marathon??? cos there is a difference between marathon and flatwater, e.g. the liffey descent is marathon but definately not flatwater!!!

Or maybe I'm just being fussy!!!

    He doesn't mean vertically challenged!!!

His mate, who presumabely is an instructor, is not a highly enough qualified instructor to test him on level 3 . . .

There should be an edit poll link in the top right of the poll box, the op can the do the editing. You may need FireFox to see it though, doesn't work in Chrome for me.

Paddlesurf covers both kayaksurf and waveski...hence the (kayak/waveski) beside it!!

    I meant level..

He said he doesn't have a high enough level to test me.

I'm not too sure on the situation.

He said we could pay someone to test me but I don't swing that way.

There are loads of quality instructors about and Level 3 and 4 assesments happen all of the time, and not particulary expensive either.

If you take part of an assesment with a quality instructor its as much a learning experience as anything else and you would take away allot from it/ Its not just about a piece of paper.

If you have any questions etc about the award system or would like some contact details for some instructors drop me a line.
