Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To be honest, if you've a 600 or 1200 then an internal cfcard is a way better option. You can build up the cfcard using WinUAE and fill it with everything you could possible need and you'll never need to use adf images again.

I also need advice on :
    A) Best video cable for Vic-20.
    B) Best option for backup games that i already own for C64/Vic-20.

"Why did this lad throw up a photo of a plug?" I hear you all asking....

Because it'll all come full circle in about a month's time. This plug is for my new Japanese MegaDrive currently én route from Osaka. :D The plug arrived this morning and my overly-dramatic mind said "and so it begins", as I have a few games on the way as well to accompany it.

    This plug has me excited..

I really like how they finish off the SNES aesthetically, kind of reminds me of the Megadrive 1/CD1 combo.

Well, I have another less pretty one in storage :o
I'm trying to replace some of my retro hardware with new old stock or as close as I can get to it. So you might see a few repeats here and think "didn't he get one a year or two ago?" :)

Not sure, I'd say yes, probably. I've a SD2SNES on the way and they can be played from that.

I always wanted a battered satelleview to go with my broken n64 DD if you're ever moving it on :D

I think only the SD2SNES can run BS-X.

Beautiful find! Did the cart/memory pak come with anything downloaded?

Nothing on the cart, it's new old stock that's been opened for checking but not actually used. I do have some stuff on my other one as that was very well used :)

Point Blank 2 arrived today(thanks for the heads up BrownFinger :)). It'll be a little project for the weekend to get her installed in my PB1 cab.

    40K4OZW.jpg

Now, I'm guessing I just need a 2 slot jamma switch to swap between the two? Or is there some non standard stuff going on?
    Anyone any ideas?

I'd assume the lightgun driver stuff is very non-jamma and won't play well with those Jamma switchers.

They have Sonic the Hedgehog tank tops (Men's) in Penneys here, I was so excited when I saw them. They're down to €5 atm, picked up one for myself and 2 as gifts lol.
I was thinking if I don't wear it I could attach it to a canvas.

That's fantastic, though I'll never wear a top like that!
Might call in though to Penny's in Swords, see what else they might have.

If they don't have them text me or message me on FB before 2, I can pick up one on the way home. Same for anyone else going to the beers or doesn't mind me posting it.
I dunno would I wear it myself I probably would put it on a canvas (like this - https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/d7/44/36/d74436a79cc13df01a4d24a2e7faf874.jpg)

A couple of bits this morning, awaiting me upon my desk
    beHRzUrm.jpg

I've always loved the Peter Jackson vision of King Kong and the book came out, by the Weta Workshop, in connection with the movie.
The conceit is that it is a scientific record of the island, it's geography, flora and fauna, as recorded just before WWII and the island'd destruction in that war.
    Tons of material, beautifully illustrated.
It's not in perfect but good condition for a ten year old book.

The two Famicom carts are Ninja Gaiden I and II, I had looked at the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the Snes, but the games are unmodified ports of the originals, and the Trilogy cart is expensive, so the original route was the way to go.
Ninja Gaiden III is a little more expensive, so I'll bide my time and pick it up in the coming months.

Get the famicom version of ninja gaiden 3, they royally ****ed up the western release by taking out unlimited continues.

That's the set I'm aiming at, I prefer the look of Famicom carts anyway.

so yeah got a few calls from a couple of guys I've grown to know who have stalls at a few car boot sales/markets I go to. They said they'd found "video game stuff" in storage lots they bought.
weird to see a stack of Genesis games in Ireland ...

I know it looks good and lucky on paper but I spent years establishing relationship with people at the markets, consistently going to many car boot sales and charity shops ... and a 6/7am start on sunday is not always a pleasant experience

I haven't seen a MD2 in 20 years so it's shocking I forgot how small it was compared to Model 1

And I just threw on a random region-free game to see if it worked.

    Well, I can only sum myself up in no other way but;

And I have about 7 NTSC-J games on the way throughout the course of August - I'm delighted. I never buy myself things like this :)
