Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Follows it with 11 and 12 darters. 3 legs in 32 darts, nice going.

PDC's choice of thumbnail for tonight's highlights is pretty epic.

Tough watching Durrant there, confidence shot to bits and I can't see him picking up points in the remaining games unless Ando throws one of his wobbler games.

I honestly think he's finished as a top level player. Even before he got Covid he was struggling. He won last years Premier League with averages on finals night in the 80's and very low 90's. His throw is completely gone, to miss 16 darts at double last night is a crazy stat for Duzza.

He's a very likeable player and it's tough to watch but he's going to tumble down the rankings this year along with Rob Cross.

    Can happen unfortunately
Was watching some program last night about Gerwyn Price and his rise through the rankings
At one stage they showed a graphic, I think 2017 or 2018, Benito vd Pas at world no 12/13?
Hasn't even got a tour card now

BvP's throw went as well. Similar happened to Mark Webster too and many other players.

Adrian Lewis is another one that's clinging on by the skin of his teeth. He could tumble down the rankings this year too because currently he's not going to be in any of the major TV tournaments bar the Worlds.

Does Durrant have a touch of dartitis? Looks to me like he's struggling to let go of the dart a bit, maybe I'm imagining it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Can see durrant falling off the tour completely faster than Wez Newton and Thornton.

Duzza battered again with another average in the 80s. Sad state of affairs.

Watching the Durrant MvG game tonight, probably the worst I've ever seen MvG play, averaged only 87. Still beat Durrant comfortably though.

Probably best for duzza to be eliminated in a few weeks time, can't see him picking up a single point. The way he's playing I wonder if he'll ever come back from this. I think it's that bad. Sad to see.

this premier lge campaign is horribe, premier lge dart in a whole is scutter...............................

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

    Fixtures tonight:

Glen Durrant vs Jose de Sousa

Rob Cross vs Dimitri Van den Bergh

    Nathan Aspinall vs Jonny Clayton

    Peter Wright vs James Wade

Michael van Gerwen vs Gary Anderson

Agree with Bassy, getting hard to watch this without the crowd and the same players playing each other. I'm more looking forward to the tour events this weekend

Was hoping Durrant would get a point there

I haven't watched a single match, I just check the results after. I've very limited interest.

I never watched it before lockdowns but I’m watching now as there’s not much else to do...

I’m also watching some of the online live league and there’s been some decent games.

Richie Burnetts mad throw seems to have settled down a bit, must be auld age as he’s not launching himself off the ground as much :)

Who is that commentating with Webster? Sounds like the Sky boxing guy? He's annoying me so far, but maybe he will grow on me.

That's him alright, Adam Smith is his name I think, he did a bit of commentary at the worlds too

Durrant would only barely win the BDO worlds the way he’s playing of late

You'd feel really bad watching him struggling here. Completely off his game

aye must be very tough, hit a lot of wayward darts as in single 1,s 5,s
just goes to show how difficult darts can be even for pros, takes special players to maintain good form over long yrs and still be up there like ando wade etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Wade very impressive the last few nights

    TbL

always gritty and has been for years,he is a long time at the top end of darts and still a difficult player to play.you have to earn it to get a result v him.

compare lewis who would of came on the scene around the same time as wade, and compare the 2 now to where each are,no contest.

Seems to have improved his scoring lately too.

If you’d to pick a man to hit a double to save your life it’d be Wade for me!

    especially x10

or a man to take out a 2 dart finish at a clinical point in a match.

No. Was funny when someone shouted out to Jose how to finish 16 though.
