Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

2018 marks the centenary of the WWI Armistice of 1918. It also marks the start of another war, Thirty Years one (1618-1648 and I'd recommend the book of the name by CV Wedgwood). Any other historic events of interest?

The election of 1918 saw change for Ireland and also the historic electing of countess Markievicz.
