It must be a joke, cause 1PC license means 1 license for 1 PC only which I received, not for 3.
3PC's license is a 1 license for 1 PC which I didn't get.
So I have scanned license box on both sides, attached them to email and posted in reply.

Guy at work ordered the 3 license version. The one he got said 1 license on the front of the box, but when you look at the back it states 3 users. So I'd say it's licensed to one user for use on 3 pc's. I guess it's a family license. Is that what you received?

Thats arseways. The box describes both the one licence and 3 licence packages on the back under the heading "Which installation method is for you"

The 3 licence box has a DVD and licence for three computers, the 1 licence box has no dvd just a card with a product key on it that is only intended for computers that were preloaded with the crappy demo of office 2010 (although you can get the licence to work by roundabout means).

The one licence version is the one that tesco were blowing out in january for €10 and heatons last summer for 20 or so.

On the back of product key box is:
Which installation method is right for you?
On the left: Product Key Card with no disc for 1 user/1 preloaded PC only
On the right : Traditional Disc 1 household/3 PC's

That is product key only without a disc so it is license for 1 PC only.
It is not a family pack for 3 PC's definitely

I ordered one on Thursday. The order still says "being picked". The product pictured said 3 users on the front of the box. Now wish I had saved a screen grab as I'm guessing they'll probably send the product key for one user instead...if I get anything at all.

Both product listings used the family pack image but the €19.99 one is clearly described as 1 licence and the the €34.99 one is clearly descrive as 3 licence. If you paid €19.99 then you should only get 1 licence.

I have ordered the Xbox kinect as a part of clearance sale. The funds were gone from my account, got the confirmation email and was waiting till.. this morning when I received another email saying that my order was CANCELLED.

I rang the number and was talking to the customer service agent but.. poor chap could not find my order or anything regard in the system. He could see I purchased the bill phone from them and that I even got it fixed few days ago with them but my order was.. gone!he told me to email the customer care so I did.
The reply I got was just ridiculous!
here you go :
"I'm sorry but you order has been cancelled because you have failed the security check. We are unable to advise you exactly why you have failed this check because this information is not passed onto us for security reasons. As we cancelled your order my colleague X was unable to locate your account.

So I am in a deep SHOCK! how come do they not know their own security check procedures and are not in a position to answer my question, anyway I was just purchasing an xbox kinect thingy!!not signing any contract it was just a normal transaction when you buy online..
I know what the story is.. they just do not have it in stock anymore, but I do not care at the moment as I WANT IT.
Any legal advices?

security check is a joke ha ha ha. how come they do this on a person ordering online for 39.99eu!! (I am not going into any contract with them..) Just left 160eu with them to have my phone fixed and they could take it no problem but 39.99 was too much?

Did any1 buy the charging mat?? I bought it the other night and am hoping it may solve thw problems i have been having with my fone. It appears to be charging when plugged in (lightening symbol on battery) but battery is actually still draining instead of building power... I'm almost sure my charging port (where u plug in the phone) is the problem and hope this is a non~complex resolution to the problem without having to send fone away and be without (drama!) Any1 have the charging mats? Are they any good? :0 :0 €100 down to €29.99 was a bargain if it works out!!

I could be wrong but do you not need some sort of compatible charge receiver for your phone. If its the same as the one iv seen the mat is no good on its own.

One dock reciever thing comes with it from Carphone warehouse, but I think it charges it via a wireless bluetooth thing too... (I'm no expert, just from what iv read..)

Nightline courier, some people orders didn't even show up in the system I'd fire them a mail although don't expect a timely response. They sent me the wrong one last week and promised me it would be sorted out by yesterday but no dice.

Hi,

I placed an order for the home office license @ €20, but nothing received to date, and cant seem to make any contact with Car Phone Warehouse.

If the order falls through was wondering if anybody had any spare who actually received their order? Its for one of the kids who uses a laptop in school. I've provided the laptop myself (cause the school dont have the resources), we've been constantly asking if she has been using the laptop in the "normal" class. Only just been told, no it doesnt have word (reminds me of the little Britain sketch...computer says no...!!), furious with the teachers etc...but thats another day's rant.

Could your kid just use open office, the only reason I have office installed is to open docx files people send me. I write everything in openoffice and pdf it to send it far more reliable.

I was very suss about the sale when everything was still in stock the next day.

If it was just me, that would do, but I imagine the teacher's have only ever experienced MS word (probably an older version as the interface has changed over the years). Think I'd be in the school, teaching the teacher's to teach my child :-) Wonder could I wrangle their summer holidays!!

I have just been on to customer services again to a very nice sounding agent who listen to my story and at the end tell me that they were not aware of any problem with the their web orders in Ireland.

Can someone tell me what business are Carphone warehouse in again.......:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Same thing happened to me! I tried contacting UK customer service, they didn't know anything about Ireland, now am playing email tag with customer services by email. They have been "waiting for a reply" for a week...

I got the following reply from CW:

"I can confirm that as we are unable to supply you with 1 x Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 with 3 Licences, we will be refunding you the €34.99 you have paid for this product. As a gesture of good will you can retain the Microsoft Office key that you have already received from us. Please allow 3-5 workings days for this refund."

So, I am glad about solution offered by CW.
CW has also confirmed that they don't have any plans to stock MS Office 2010 - 3 license key again in the immediate future.

Not the 1st place you'd think of but Heatons had some a few months ago, they did sell out (Thread about it on here), might be worth a look or call.
Can't remember exact cost but it was cheap enough.

Lucky you getting a result I was on to them yesterday and still no response. This is reminding me of the Samsung Phone problem from about a year or so ago. It is my own fault I should have kept to my word that I would ever buy from them again.
I will bang off another email to them see what fairy story I get off them.

Well I got a response about my missing package. They will get in touch with the delievery warehouse! Not very helpful, checked my trackin and guess what apparently it was delievered on the 13th. Funny none of my family took delievery. I would love to know who signed for it😕
