Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I am having trouble tracking down some ancestors.

The family was born in West Cork, Ireland, (9 born, 7 living in 1911 census)
I have their civil record births from IrishGeneology.ie and the civil death of two of these.

After that, i have lost them, which would suggest they may have emigrated but a simple FMP search would yield roughly 1000 results, how do i know which one is my ancestor? I know their parents names. James (O')Regan and Hanora (O')Mahony

They were all born Regan (oregan)

    Mary- b.1863
    Kate- b.1864
    John- 1867-1889
    Anne- 1870
    James-1873
    Michael-1875-1951
    Jeremiah-1877
    Elizabeth-1880-1881
    Daniel-1883

Michael was my g.grandfather. I have his marriages and children so no need to worry there.
Daniel is in the 1901 census with brother Michael and their parents, but he is missing in 1911.

John and Elizabeth both died single and young(before 1901) and single.

As for the others, Mary,Kate,Anne,James and Jeremiah, after birth, i have no info of them, and Daniel after appearing in 1901 census.

I have already searched irishgeneology for marriages and deaths to no avail.

    Any tips?

Which town are they from, or close to which town?

James and Hanora both passed away in March 1924. See registrations numbered 248 and 249 respectively at this link:

    https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1924/05036/4377792.pdf

And Daniel emigrated and passed away in Illinois in 1937:

    Hope this helps. :)

It came up in an ancestry search. Not sure if the link will work, but if not, PM me and there may be a download done.

Try this link. PM me your email if the link doesn't work for you.
