Easy way to clean hub caps?

Does anyone know of a cleaning solution (that can be bought or created by mixing a variety of substances) that will clean the grime off hubcaps/wheel trims?
I don't own a power-hose so I have to get down on my knees and clean them with a cloth. It takes ages to get into all the little nooks on all the wheels.
It takes even longer than washing the rest of the car. It would be much better if I could just throw some kind of solution on the wheels, leave it for ten minutes and come back and hose the grime off.

Bilt Hamber auto wheels and a detailing brush should do the job for you

Alloy wheel cleaner will do the trick, the acid free type. Just spray it on and leave it work then rinse off.

Using Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel will work on its own without any agitation/scrubbing etc. once the bedded-in stuff has been removed.

I read that vinegar mixed with salt is effective too.
