Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi guys,

i got married last month and am taking on my husbands surname.

i know that i don't have to do a deed poll but that i can just start using his name.

we got a copy of our marriage cert during the week so i know i can use it to get a new passport, change bank account names etc.

but my question is how do i let revenue know that i have changed my name? i looked around on their site but i can't find which section i need to contact. should i just send a letter with the marriage cert included to the address of my local revenue office?

I remember applying to the revenue to be jointly assessed. You phone them and they send you a booklet with a form. They don't need a copy of your marriage certificate as they have access to the records. If you want your name changed you can ask about that on the phone.

I'm still using my maiden name but my passport is now in my married name.
