I've recently moved to Germany and I'm wondering what are the best sites or local shops even to buy parts. I'm trying to price up buying a new rig here.

    Thanks

Conrad is pretty decent, RS Components also, but I'm not sure if they do private sales but maybe through your work.

    MindFactory
    Compuland
    VibuOnline
    DriveCity
    CaseKing

Saturn if you want to just walk in.

    http://DE.pcpartpicker.com is pretty handy.

I get jealous when I go to Germany and walk into one of these
It's like a PC builders wonderland with stations for trying things like keyboards, mice, monitors and gaming chairs

Good stuff. Exactly what I was looking for. I'll take a look at Saturn and see what kind of prices they have too.

Or mediamarkt for a walk in and browse
Went to Spain and helped a friend get a wired ap set up thought he was gonna bring me to a pc world ended up finding anything and everything I could only find on amazon all in one place
A Poe switch and a wall mounted wired ap for less than 75 quid
    I was sick

What part did you move to, just curious as I've moved to just north of Hamburg myself.

You'll have any number of Saturns and MediaMarkts around you in Berlin, great city too.

Funny how small the world is. Have been living around the corner for a few years and at Streetview i can even see my former Lidl.:D

Back to topic: Yes, they deliver to IRE. In fact the whole EU & Switzerland.

Shipping is free of charge if you buy for >500€ and pay via your bank account in advance. If you buy for <500€ shipping will be 19,90€ blank.

They also charge 19,90€ if you change your payment method from bank transfer to credit card or Paypal even when you are ordering above 500€. That’s something i would question. Probably a mistake in their FAQ’s.

Can’t tell you anything about their standing but they specialise in high end and gamer computers. They are building these to your specifications or you can get a preconfigured one from one of their different lines.

If you want i can ask them next week. Just send me a PM with your questions. I’m fluent in german.:p

    For translation purposes i recommend deepl.com . It’s a lot better than google.:D

Alot of people go burned when another german website (hardwareversand.de) for pc parts went down, they too preferred to be paid via bank transfer and when the place went burst alot of folks had paid for parts but had no comeback.
Use paypal or your CC if your going to buy online, give yourself some level of cover.

Yea, and I believe COD is a lot more common in Germany than it is here? I just don't think it was an option for their international deliveries.
