Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bought a classic in January and sent off the form and brown tax book to change ownership I received brown tax book back stamped but no reg cert Do I have to tax the car first to receive the reg cert ?

I've never had a reg cert for a brown book car, but then I've only got two brown book cars and I've never got round to taxing them yet.

When I had freshly imported card registered back in 2010 that I didn't tax for ten months, the reg cert wasn't sent out until first taxing.

tax book is the cert. You don't need any more.

If the car has it's original old Irish brown log book, that is the 'reg cert'. The 'new' VRC is only used for vehicles registered in Ireland after 1993.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.
You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.
Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
