Hearing that the Sligo Councillors now think the County's finances are out of control and the administrators could be brought in. Any thoughts or predictions on this?

I love how the last line in that article is heavily loaded towards the reason they called the meeting.

Haven't much time for a lot of councillors but the management in the council itself haven't been any better.

If anything far worse, the debacle that was the behavior of the CoCo executive in the last months of the Borough Council is perhaps the low point of local government in Sligo and that is saying something.

Problem is the electorate. They vote for the local yokel who then goes to ask mickey joe up the road who works for the council cos his great aunt was a first cousin once removed of a daughter of a son of a son in law who was a nephew of PJ.

Indeed, but they did "fix the road".
