Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Any recommendations for quality plants? Tropica brand is preferable due to their rep but any advise is appreciated. I’ll be planting a 15 gallon quite heavily so I’ll be spending a fair bit in one go and I would prefer to go on recommendation. Just moved back from UK so not familiar with Irish market.

    That site looks good hadn't seen it before. He has a good selection of stock and well priced. Choice in Seahorse isn't always great and it's pricey enough.

    I bought a big order from Aquarium gardens uk/when I planted mine. Postage is pricey but they have a huge selection.

    I've picked up some in pets at home to. They are good value and have a buy one get one half price offer at the minute. They don't have a great selection and don't deliver to the south. So would have to parcel motel/wizzard it or take a spin up to Newry.

    Must look at some options for mine. Thinking about pulling out all my Christmas moss it just gets everywhere and probably the java ferns too for something more interesting.

    Lads thanks for all the reply’s. I will visit seahorse aquariums as I need some aqua scaling tools and hardscape. I’ll get a look at their plants as well. I just need to source Tropica plant soil

    Hi Duke, Not yet.

    I am moving house on Monday and I will be setting my tank up soon after that. I plan to leave two days for me to go out and buy plants, hardscape, substrate etc. and then set up the tank.

    Pm me for any help with the setup as I had Neocaridina and cardina for years. Don’t keep them anymore.

    I can also sort you out with specialised filters and also shrimp food.

    Lads what substrate are ye using? I can’t find Tropica plant soil in any of my LFS. Seahorse and longford don’t stock it.

    I used Ada Amazonia expensive but supposedly worth it! It's long lasting from a nutrient point of view.

    You should be able to get Tropica substrate off Amazon. I just use gravel and then dose with liquid ferts monthly, seems to work fine, tank is a jungle.

    That is expensive. I’m going for no CO2 and liquid ferts so I don’t need nutrient loaded substrate. I might go with something more inert

    Aquarium soil cane today. Ever closer to setting her up but Iv also a lot of house sorting before it goes up. That’s just all the rubbish from moving into our first home. Probably as much more upstairs when the old carpet comes out.

    Love it. Iv put my hard scape together. Just need some wood then going to fill with plants. Are you dosing CO2?
