Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have one of these, and an air fryer, and they aren't comparable at all. The fact is the Aldi one is sold as an Air Fryer, when it's really not

For anybody thinking of getting this...there is a very active thread Actifry and Airfryer ..in the Food section.

Very disappointed with the GN Prosecco deal.

We had it before and found it fine. The 3 bottles in our deal were all barely fizzy - pretty much flat.

How was it for others? I don't mind being unlucky with a few bad bottles from the same crate but I'd be annoyed if we were sold sub-par product en masse.

No that’s the GN Prosecco for you, it’s Prosecco FRIZANTE, which is a semi sparkling wine

Some do use them outside of a dishwasher!, and relevant to this thread as people will have got the airfryer.

People will pour boiling water into an airfryer basket and add a tablet. I would recommend crushing it up or stirring to dissolve properly and putting it in the actual airfryer so you can heat it back up to boiling again. Just keep an eye on it that it does not foam up.

    Worth pickin up the bike?

    NO!!!!

These types of bikes are rubbish and you'll end up using it as a clothes rack before you eventually pay to get rid of it.

Give the €79 to me. The exercise of taking it out of your wallet and handing it to me will be more beneficial :)

Only if it fits into the dishwasher, I've a helluva lot of tablets to get through.

George Forman grills are crap, and no matter how careful you are, the Teflon coating wears out in less time than the tarmac that gets thrown onto your driveway by some dubious fellas in a van.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,863 ✭✭✭dball

ive a Foreman grill over 10 yrs old and its still like new.

I cook toasties mostly but have done many burgers and steaks and all sorts over the years.

I would recommend one - but its a 10yr old version that is grey in colour and less square shaped than the picture above so def not the same grill - Not sure which batch of Teflon was used on my grill

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,861 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

I worked with a company years ago and all the lads shared the grill below. Steak, chops, eggs, toasties etc all cooked on it and never cleaned....ever.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,107 ✭✭✭✭ejmaztec

We've had three or four of them over the years, and not one stood the test of time as far as the Teflon coating was concerned. We never went anywhere near them with any utensils that even remotely looked like they were made of metal.

Our "Hairy Biker Grill" (a Lidl or Aldi purchase) has outlasted all of them, and the coating is still pristine.

If George Foreman had the same coating as his grills, he'd now look like Michael Jackson did. :p

Great price. Before anybody gets overly excited a "medium" egg would have been called small a few years back.

A creme egg medium contains 1 creme egg and a 100g egg. So most of these eggs are about the same as 3 bars, a full size dairy milk you get in a newsagent should be 53g these days.

Probably best to check your local on facebook, lots have their own specific pages. Supervalu is nowhere near as tight on offers as the likes of tesco etc. They are franchises and seem to be able to do as they please to some extent.

I just got a random email from SV about €1 off Actimel!

I'd be surprised if these start back up with limited time offers given the social distancing \ queue setup we have in place now.
