Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can't understand why/ how the water pressure in my kitchen cold tap is really bad yet it is grand at every other tap including downstairs bathroom so nothing to do with upstairs v downstairs. Any ideas?

Sounds luke my relations house. Was your kitchen built in an an extension or amended from an original old (1960's) house? Them pipes usually had pressure only in one location and every other tap eas fed from it with subsequently poor pressure. Upstairs showers and taps uncluding outside taps never had presure or barely worked if the original one was on. Maybe something to do with this? We stilll have one house badly affected by this. It got worse downstairs after an under the stairs loo and sink was put in...

I'm no expert by any means but just wondering as any house I've lived in, the water in kitchen has always been mains feed while bathrooms are tank feed.

Have you a water metre outside house that you could check to ensure the lever is fully open?

    New tap fitted recently?

No new tap. It's a mixer tap so the hot tap works fine so it's not the tap . It's only when I turn the cold tap on. So would that be to do with the mains ? Poor general water pressure? It's been like this about 2 months but I keep forgetting to do anything about it til the next time I'm in a hurry to fill the kettle again!!

You cold water in the kitchen will be from the mains, while your hot water will be from the tank. Sounds like low water pressure on the mains. Check with one of your neighbours to see if they have the same issue. If yes, then check with the water company.

All other cold taps in the house will come from the tank, so that's why these are okay

Could be gunk in the mechanism or wear causing it to not open fully internally.

But if the same tap has a good flow from the hot tap, unlikely yes?
