Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You've got to do better than Ngo. He is a complete an utter fraud and far right activist at best.

Have you any evidence that those tweets are untrue?

Nope, but I know who Andy Ngo is and I know he has a consistent history of fraudulent claims. As I said in the post you quoted he's a far right activist at best.

He isn't a far right activist. Like anyone in America who "takes-on" the far-left progressive loons they get labelleed far-right.

Even Joe Rogan has been labelled as far-right and a gate-way to alt-right.

I kind of feel sorry for them, I don't rate them as a political force but I would say that individually they probably tend to have some issues, and their larping as Antifa is an outlet of sorts. they could still be dangerous in a group.

He doesn't anymore. They let him go after the video emerged of him hanging with a far right group before the far right group attacked people in a bar.

i know next to nothing about him, i just see his tweets retweeted from time to time, I only heard of him after Antifa beat him up for no reason,I assume he was reporting at the time. The guy is Asian and gay if I remember so ill guess he is definitely anti-Antifa but pro antifascism.
if he is a bad person, what is the worst view he has expressed? but actual video or text he has written, not the hallucinations of someone that doesn't like him

He's been fired or let go from almost every publication he's worked for. He often lies to his audience even where there is video evidence to the contrary, he is a bad faith actor in all this. Even pretended to have a brain injury to get money off people.

I was watching a Sky News report over the xmas which followed a few of the Extinction Rebellion protesters, and it struck me they all have activist type look about them. There were not chiseled jaw types, no muscle jock types, no rugby types, no beer bellied football hooligan types, but all wafer thin gaunt skull head types of a decidedly middle-class background.

Taken from here for the evidence Nazi's - https://news.sky.com/story/inside-extinction-rebellion-two-months-embedded-with-climate-change-protesters-11861321

So, anyone who thinks there is noting to be read into the appearance of these types or thinks there are no issues of psychology going on here, really does have a very simplistic view of the world.

As for the mug shot of the Antifa gang posted earlier - they give me the impression of the type that have spent too much time alone in their bedroom playing computer games for hours and fantasizing they're characters in a Batman Movie. And the only who are willing to be their friends - are ppl exactly like them.

You obsession with Ngo, "grifters" and the wholesome Antifa group make you impossible to take seriously.

Antifa are a terrible group. Alt right supporters are horrible people.

    They are demonstrable facts.

You take the position that anyone who opposes Antifa are automatically alt-right or alt-right sympathisers.

You and people like you are the main reason that people can't, won't and shouldn't get behind the Antifa movement.

Haven't heard much from them lately.
    Know why?
Because they only confront fascist marches.
These events have stopped because they are too much trouble when antifa show up.

It isn't a movement and doesn't want anyone support, they just want to stop fascists.

They've turned up at Ben Shapiro (to name but one) talks to attempt to shut him down and are abundant at any talks or events which may lean right wing.

Antifa aren't antifascist. They are anti anyone they don't agree with.

I was in an argument with my Dad about AntiFa ... he seemed to think if you are against anti fa by definition it means you are a fascist.

I told him about the above incident and loads like it, he just denied it happened, completely denied it, even with the videos.
His argument was that he has seen so many fake videos of planes landing (from simulators) - so videos are easy to fake, so these videos have been faked.

Yep, that's what you're dealing with.

I remember arguing with an older gent. I was saying the Irag war was more about securing oil in the region than anything else. He was all Weapons of Mass destruction etc. Some years later I heard him giving out about oil wars. point is people are capable of changing regardless of age.
The sad thing is 'clever' 'with it' internet folk spending their time owning snowflakes and attacking anti-fascists while their freedoms are chipped away by the very 'free speech' proponents they defend in their attacks on anyone pushing for equality or anything mildly left.

Maybe start a 'real anti fascist thread, (not affiliated with antifa)'? But where would be the sport in that?

The kids always like to be counter culture. This season being Alt-Right is the trendy thing all the online kids are at.

Exactly, if antifa were just anti fascist - as in real actual fascists - all reasonable people would agree with them, the problem is their definition of fascism is extremely broad.

A crazy Monday to unfold in Richmond Virginia?

On Monday January 20th an Antifa group will be marching alongside Pro-Gun protesters in Virginia. The march opposes the numerous gun measures and restrictions on the ownership of firearms that seems likely to become law since Democrats won control of both Virginia houses last year... legislation contrary to the rights guaranteed in the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.

The Richmond-based Antifa Seven Hills believes gun control is a class issue and that America has a legacy of racist enforcement and it represents the rise of a police state and the oppression of minorities made powerless by disarmament.

The Antifa group has described the rally “as an opportunity to extend an olive branch to other gun owners — at least those who don’t align with the far-right militias or white supremacists who are also expected to show up to the event.”

But there are sure to be some in the Pro-Gun protesters who Antifa despises.

Democratic Governor Ralph Northam has decreed an order that bans guns from the "Lobby Day" rally on Monday.

    What could go wrong?

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

    What could go wrong?

    A lot.

I've been following this on the firearms boards, and the gun owners are a new level of "pissed". The reaction is far different than has been the case when gun control laws have been proposed in other States in the past, when the worst that has happened is mass non-compliance. Now that the Governor has decided that a political rally could count as a State of Emergency, the talk has moved beyond that or 'polite demonstration (eg "Leave your rifles at home, it looks bad")' to open defiance. Are the State Troopers and Richmond PD really going to enforce against hundreds of armed persons, especially if mixed in the crowd with thousands of unarmed demonstrators?

I honestly don't think the danger lies between the neo-nazis and Antifa. They'll likely find a way to be on opposite sides of the crowd from each other. It's the interaction between law enforcement and the crowd which concerns me. Before the governor's declaration, I was confident that the event would pass peaceably (Even with the recent FBI arrest of accused agitators). Now, I'm not so sure.

According to the agenda driven media, like MSNBC and CNN, the gathering was highly represented by White Supremacists. Untrue, but why let facts stand in the way of yellow journalism. Apparently the media is saddened that mayhem didn't break out. And it seems Antifa mostly stayed away.
