Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No doubt in my mind it will still happen in Qatar though, far too close to it now to move it. The whole thing is an absolute disgrace

Would love for it to be taken off Qatar and instead give it to somewhere half convenient for us. Germany France Spain Italy somewhere like that.

Or even Scandinavia would be a good choice maybe? Norway Denmark Sweden Finland.

I think for the good of the sport, trust, transparency it should be taken off them. For it to go ahead it only solidifies the message that it’s ok to enter into corruption as by the time you get caught it’s too late. A strong message needs to be sent to the gate keepers of the sport that will if they are unwilling to play with a straight bat there will be consequences. Blame Platini and co. Sure, complicit as fûck but Qatar I’m sure picked up the phone, envelope it hand. Ban them too from the next qualifying campaign. Strong message that wherever you are in this sport, corrupt acts get punished.

The thing with FIFA & UEFA is when you kill one snake another slithers into his spot. It's just that environment.

The Current Fifa President is literally a Bond villain, Qatar will get away with it, just like Russia did, or did we all forget they were at it also? And also had a state sponsored doping scandal to boot?

Funny that the only person on that list not accused of anything is the English representative.

    Scratch that he is.

Not a chance, as mentioned previously above the entire organisation is a money grabbing racket so anyone who steps up to the plate will be looking to continue the status quo of making as much money as possible. Qatar will go ahead regardless, no chance they'll let their puppets in FIFA cancel.

    Give it to England please!

Sure that nice John Delaney never stood a chance, working with that lot.

Would absolutely love if they took it off Qatar and moved it elsewhere, anywhere at this point.

The neck you'd have to have to think you can award the WC to Qatar in front of the whole world and get away with it. If there is serious appetite to do something about corruption in football it has to start from the top down and that means taking the WC away from Qatar.

    This won't happen though.

There are probably quite a few corrupt fûcks left in the ranks of FIFA. Just haven’t been caught yet. It’s unlikely that Blatter could have engaged in the shît he was without others supporting, acting as accomplices, enabling and covering.

Football at that level is rotten to the core.

Certainly seems to be, the more you think about it...Qatar....fûck...and moving the competition lock stock and barrel to the middle of winter, discommoding football, supporters, the world over, right before Christmas... he and FIFA can fûck right off...the last person considered was the genuine football fan... this decision too runs roughshod over leagues, clubs and associations the planet over, a purebread cûnt and there will be many more like him for sure.

Is there time to change the host last time the host was changed was 86 when Colombia pulled out as they could not afford to host and that was in 82, with Mexico being confirmed then in 83 as the new host giving them 3 years to get ready since it was 16 years since they had hosted it before.

Yeah there are definitely countries with the infrastructure to do one at 3 years notice for sure.

    Can’t see it moving though.

Can't see it moving. Can you imagine the strings that Qatar will pull at levels far beyond just football organisations to ensure that any possibility of moving it would be shut down? It's wrong, it stinks, but it's a done deal.

If it ends up anywhere it will be somewhere with the infrastructure and relative serenity.

Money on Spain, England, France or Germany. Though Brexit and Euro24 might scupper that to an extent.

Or Australia if they're wedded to the timing in December.

Don't forget the 86 world cup was meant to be in Colombia and the awarding to Mexico only took place in 83.

    So there's still time.

Literally just posted that and didn't see yours.

The precedent shows it can be done.

The bribes are enormous. People accepting these are going from ok to extremely rich.

It goes a lot lower than that. Look at our own FAI, look at the people who defended Delaney because he presented them with a novelty cheque for €5k and made sure he got in again.

Aye, there's lads running grassroots leagues every bit as crooked as Delaney, Platini etc they just don't garner as much attention to enable change.
